Ghana’s NCA hosts Liberian telecom delegation for best practice exchange

The Ghanaian National Communications Authority (NCA) has hosted a two-member delegation from the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) to share knowledge, experience and best practices regarding institutional development, technology adoption, operational systems and modern workplace infrastructure. Suleman Salifu, the NCA’s deputy director-general for technical operations, emphasised the deep, historic with Liberia. Joy Chichi Onos, the LTA’s director for information technology, said her organisation wants to study the specific operational systems, workflows and cultures that drive the NCA’s success.

Salifu reaffirmed the NCA’s dedication to empowering regional peer regulators through strategic knowledge sharing. Salifu expressed confidence that the session would offer the delegation actionable insights to achieve their organisational goals, urging open consultationwith the NCA’s subject matter experts. 

Onos said the LTA is currently developing a modern, technology-driven facility. Because of this, the agency prioritises engaging with peer institutions that have successfully executed similar projects. She praised the NCA’s stellar standing as a prominent regulatory body in West Africa, pointing out its robust frameworks and proactive approach to regional cooperation.
