MTN Ghana Foundation Donates GH¢20,000 to Support Ohum Kan Festival


The MTN Ghana Foundation has donated GH¢20,000, GH¢1,000 worth of airtime, assorted drinks, and hampers to the Akyem Tafo Traditional Council in support of the 2026 Ohum Kan Festival. The donation forms part of the Foundation’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at promoting culture and community development.

Speaking at the presentation, Ransford Gyan, MTN’s Area Sales Manager for the Eastern, Oti, and Volta Regions, said the company is proud to support a festival that preserves cultural heritage while creating economic opportunities for local businesses. He added that the celebration aligns with MTN Ghana’s commitment to connecting people and driving national development, especially as the company marks 30 years of operations in Ghana under the theme, “30 Years of Progress, Powered by You.”

The Akyem Tafohene, Daasebre Adusei Peasah IV, expressed gratitude to the MTN Ghana Foundation for its continued support of the community. He also appealed to the telecom operator to improve network service in the area to address recent connectivity challenges affecting residents and businesses.
