Telecel Group has invested $50,000 to strengthen digital and soft skills development among Ghanaian students through the Skills for School Programme, delivered by King’s Trust International in partnership with Junior Achievement Ghana.
The programme, which has reached more than 5,000 young people across 31 schools in Greater Accra since 2020, focuses on building confidence, communication, leadership and self-management skills among students aged 11 to 17.
Telecel Group’s support has expanded the programme’s digital component, including the establishment of computer laboratories in seven schools across Accra Metropolitan, Krowor and Kpone Katamanso municipalities. The funding has also supported a new digital safety module being delivered across all 31 participating schools.
Telecel Ghana said the investment is aimed at equipping young people with practical digital and soft skills needed to navigate education, employment and an increasingly digital future.
