Ghana’s Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has partnered with Digital Policy Alert and the St. Gallen Endowment to strengthen digital governance, regulatory coordination and Ghana’s participation in international digital trade.
The partnership was announced at a stakeholder workshop in Accra, where government, industry, academia, civil society and development partners discussed emerging digital policy trends. The Ministry highlighted initiatives including the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, improved data governance and the One Million Coders Programme.
The collaboration will provide access to digital policy intelligence and AI-assisted regulatory analysis to support evidence-based policymaking, regulatory alignment and Ghana’s engagement in frameworks such as the AfCFTA Protocol on Digital Trade and WTO discussions.
