The first panel of Ghana’s most authoritative technology conference focused on the role of an effective corporate Governance in the Digital Financial Services, speaking on behalf of Kwame Oppong, Head of Fintech and Innovation Office at the Bank of Ghana, Nancy Arhinfuwaa Imadi outlined the various structures put in place for new financial businesses and fintechs to address in order to help them grow within the industry.
She touched on current Policies in place to support the growth of financial services in the country.
She further assured of her unit and the Bank of Ghana’s resolve to continually preserve the safety, soundness and integrity of the payment and financial ecosystem in the country.
“Good governance arrangement has been a priority for the bank as it sets the tone, culture and manner in which the bank expects regulated payment service to operate.”
“The BoG will continue to evolve its regulatory environment to preserve the safety, soundness and integrity of the payment and financial ecosystem” She said.
The MT4D2023 conference aims to bring together experts on issues within the educational, digital finance and agritech and digitized payments to explore the challenges and showcase successful solutions and case studies of how digital finance is impacting these sectors.
