As Liberia continues its digital transformation, CSquared Liberia says reliable fibre infrastructure is playing a critical role in driving economic growth, expanding digital services and creating new opportunities for businesses and communities. According to Country Manager Lambratu Tejan, digital infrastructure has become a key pillar of national development, enabling the country to compete and participate more effectively in the digital economy.
Since entering the Liberian market, CSquared has deployed an open-access fibre network across Monrovia and a long-distance backbone extending to Loguatuo on the Côte d’Ivoire border. The wholesale network provides connectivity for mobile network operators, internet service providers and enterprises, helping to improve network resilience, lower infrastructure costs and encourage greater competition. Tejan likened fibre infrastructure to roads and power networks, saying it forms the backbone of a modern digital economy by allowing data to move quickly, reliably and affordably.
Looking ahead, Tejan said resilient, carrier-neutral infrastructure will become even more important as demand for cloud services, mobile broadband and digital platforms continues to grow. She noted that CSquared remains committed to expanding Liberia’s digital foundation, supporting innovation, strengthening connectivity and helping position the country for long-term economic growth within West Africa’s growing digital ecosystem.
