Ericsson is advancing AI-powered telecommunications through its partnership with Zain Bahrain, which has become the first telecom operator in the region to deploy AI capabilities within a live 5G radio network.
The deployment leverages Ericsson’s AI technology to enable real-time network decisions based on traffic demands and user behaviour, helping improve network speed, efficiency and reliability.
The initiative highlights Ericsson’s role in supporting the development of smarter, more adaptive and future-ready 5G networks. The technology is expected to enhance connectivity for data-intensive services such as video streaming, online gaming, video conferencing and cloud applications, while supporting the broader digital transformation of Bahrain.
