The National Information Technology Agency (NITA) has launched the 2026 National ICT Week Celebration in Accra, reaffirming its commitment to advancing Ghana’s digital transformation and promoting innovation across the country’s digital ecosystem.
Held under the theme “Innovation at Scale: Creating Opportunities Across Ghana’s Digital Ecosystem,” this year’s event brings together stakeholders from government, the private sector, academia, the technology industry, and the media to explore how technology can create jobs, improve digital services, and strengthen Ghana’s competitiveness in the global digital economy.
NITA Director-General, Nana Yaw Amoah-Yeboah, said the annual ICT Week serves as a platform for industry players, policymakers, professionals, and the public to discuss emerging technologies, share innovations, and explore opportunities within Ghana’s ICT sector.
He noted that the event will deepen public awareness of digital technologies, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and support the country’s digital development agenda. He also reiterated NITA’s commitment to expanding digital infrastructure, improving public service delivery, and working with partners to accelerate innovation and ICT sector growth.
National ICT Week has become one of Ghana’s flagship technology events, providing a forum for policymakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, technology experts, and development partners to exchange ideas and showcase solutions for building an inclusive and resilient digital economy.
