Ericsson Pushes Outcome-Driven Autonomous Networks to Accelerate Business Growth

The telecom industry is moving towards autonomous networks, driven by the convergence of AI, cloud-native technologies and differentiated connectivity. At DTW Ignite 2026, Ericsson highlighted the need for communications service providers (CSPs) to move beyond isolated automation and focus on measurable business outcomes, including greater operational efficiency, improved customer experiences, faster service innovation and new revenue opportunities.

Ericsson said its Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP) is helping CSPs advance their autonomy journeys across multi-vendor networks, supported by AI, intent-driven operations and closed-loop automation. The company also introduced an expanded EIAP to support core network automation and new OSS/BSS Business Value Pathways designed to help operators accelerate data transformation, launch products with zero-touch automation and use agentic AI to improve service and IT operations.

The company stressed that autonomous networks are not simply about reducing operational complexity but creating the foundation for CSPs to launch, manage and monetise differentiated connectivity and network API services at scale. Through its technology portfolio, industry partnerships and real-world deployments, Ericsson aims to help operators turn their autonomous network ambitions into tangible business value and faster market opportunities.
