Ericsson Highlights 5G Opportunities for Ghana’s Digital Growth.

Ericsson has reaffirmed its commitment to Ghana’s digital transformation as the country prepares for the rollout of 5G, highlighting advanced connectivity as a foundation for economic growth, stronger businesses and more efficient digital public services.

Ericsson President and Head of EMEA Patrick Johansson made the remarks during a visit to Ghana, where he engaged the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, the National Communications Authority and telecommunications industry stakeholders. Discussions focused on 5G, network quality, cybersecurity and resilience, digital skills, and the use of advanced connectivity across industries and public services.

Johansson said successful 5G deployment will require the right spectrum and investment conditions, strong digital skills and continued collaboration among government, regulators, operators and technology companies. He said Ericsson is ready to bring its global 5G experience to Ghana, while stressing that continued investment and partnerships will be critical to ensuring the country’s next phase of digital growth delivers value beyond connectivity.
