MTN Ghana has launched the 2026 edition of the Savannah Fest in Tamale as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
The festival, scheduled for the first week of October, will feature a community football competition, music concert, clean-up exercise, health walk and free health screening.
About 16 communities will participate in the football competition, with the winning community receiving a surprise package from MTN. Each participating community will also receive GH¢10,000 as an appearance fee.
MTN Northern Regional Sales Manager, Richard Asamane, said the festival had become an important platform for engaging communities and appreciating customers for their loyalty.
He said about nine Toyota Land Cruiser Prados, cash prizes and other rewards would be given to customers nationwide, with three Prados allocated to winners in the northern sector.
Mr Asamane also highlighted MTN’s social investments, including nearly 200 projects in health, education and economic empowerment. These include digital skills and SME training, scholarships and a GH¢9.7 million multi-purpose digital resource centre at the University for Development Studies’ Dungu campus in Tamale.
