MTN Ghana marked its 30th anniversary with a customer appreciation float through major streets of Accra. Employees moved from the company’s head office through the Ministries area, Osu, Oxford Street, Ring Road East and Liberation Road, engaging the public and distributing tokens of appreciation. The celebration is being held under the theme, “30 Years of Progress, Powered by You.”
MTN Ghana Chief Human Resource Officer Esi Mmriba Wilson said the float was organised to appreciate customers and reaffirm the company’s commitment to Ghana. She said employees and customers have played an important role in the company’s three-decade journey, adding that staff from the Mobile Money and connectivity operations also used the occasion to reflect on the company’s future.
The anniversary activities will continue with more customer promotions and rewards, including the MTN@30 promotion, which offers prizes such as cash, data and Toyota Land Cruiser Prados. Activities are also taking place in regions across the country as MTN Ghana celebrates its customers, employees and stakeholders while highlighting its continued focus on connectivity and digital development.
