Ghana Ministry Receives Cybersecurity White Paper from Academic City

Ghana’s Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has received a cybersecurity white paper from Academic City University, following a stakeholder roundtable held during last year’s National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

The paper brings together perspectives from academia, industry and the Cyber Security Authority, with recommendations focused on building cybersecurity talent, developing local solutions and moving from policy development to measurable implementation. The delegation also called for stronger collaboration among government, academia and industry to harness local expertise.

Receiving the paper, Minister Samuel Nartey George welcomed the initiative and stressed the importance of research, institutional capacity and industry participation in translating cybersecurity policies into practical solutions. The Ministry said it will review the recommendations and explore areas for collaboration as Ghana works to strengthen its digital security ecosystem.
