Huawei has launched its Agentic AI Cloud and related AI solutions in Nigeria to accelerate AI adoption across key sectors.
Unveiled at the Huawei Nigeria AI & Cloud Summit in Lagos, the solutions are designed to help organisations develop and deploy AI agents using local cloud infrastructure with data residency, security, compliance and low-latency capabilities.
The technology targets sectors including finance, telecommunications, government, internet services and enterprises.
Huawei Nigeria CEO Austin You said Nigeria has the foundation to become a leading force in Africa’s AI development, with Huawei aiming to support this growth through local capabilities and an open ecosystem.
The launch builds on Huawei Cloud’s expansion in Nigeria, including its local hyperscale cloud launched in 2024, which supports local data storage and computing.
Huawei said the Agentic AI Cloud represents the next stage of its development in Nigeria, positioning cloud infrastructure as a platform for intelligent services, AI applications and digital transformation.
