Huawei Showcases Secure Networks for Nigeria’s Digital Future

Huawei Nigeria has hosted the Huawei Nigeria IP&OpticX Club 2026 in Lagos under the theme “Secure Networks Powering Nigeria’s Digital Future.” The event brought together government representatives, enterprises, partners and technology leaders to explore how secure and intelligent networks can support digital transformation and AI adoption.

Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa highlighted its Xinghe Intelligent Network and Xinghe AI Campus, showcasing next-generation campus networks with stronger security, faster connectivity, automated fault resolution and improved operational efficiency.

The event also featured Nigeria’s digital transformation efforts, with the Lagos State Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology emphasising the importance of reliable and secure connectivity to its Digital Government and Smart City ambitions.

ital solutions.

For SMEs, Huawei introduced updates to its eKit SME Network, designed to simplify network deployment and management across offices, stores, hotels and educational institutions.

Huawei also unveiled Xinghe AI Fabric 2.0, an AI data centre networking solution focused on autonomous network management, high-performance connectivity, automated fault recovery and stronger data protection.

The event underscored the growing role of secure, intelligent and resilient network infrastructure in powering Nigeria’s digital economy and preparing businesses and public institutions for an increasingly AI-driven future.
